S'pore Sports Hub to Modify Courts for 8 Dual-Use Pickleball Courts in Jan 2026

The growth of pickleball in Singapore continues — and now, it’s reaching the nation’s biggest sporting landmark. The Singapore Sports Hub has announced plans to convert two junior tennis courts and three basketball courts into eight new outdoor pickleball courts, ready for play by January 2026.

These new facilities will be dual-use, meaning they can host pickleball, tennis, or basketball depending on the scheduled playtime. This multi-sport design reflects Sport Hub’s goal of making better use of existing public spaces and keeping them active throughout the week.

A Major Step Forward for Singapore’s Pickleball Community

In its Oct 25 press release, the Singapore Sports Hub shared that playtimes for each sport will be pre-determined to ensure smooth coordination and fair access for all players. Court bookings will be managed online and start from just S$5 during non-peak hours, keeping the new courts affordable and community-friendly.

This initiative follows the surge of interest in pickleball across Singapore and aims to add more than 20,000 hours of playtime each year. According to the Sports Hub, this move supports its vision to remain a hub for everyday athletes, families, and friends to stay active and discover new sports together.

Boosting Pickleball Accessibility and Growth

Pickleball’s appeal lies in its easy learning curve, social atmosphere, and accessibility across all age groups. With these new courts, players can look forward to even more chances to play in central Singapore, while enjoying the convenience of a well-maintained, professionally managed facility.

For both beginners and seasoned players, the Sports Hub’s commitment to supporting pickleball marks another milestone in the sport’s expansion across the island.

Southeast Asia’s Largest Pickleball Tournament Coming to Singapore

Alongside the new courts, the Singapore Sports Hub will collaborate with OCBC Group and Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) to launch one of Southeast Asia’s largest pickleball tournaments at the National Stadium in 2026.

The event will feature:

  • Over 500 players in lead-up activities beginning early 2026

  • A finale tournament in the third quarter of 2026

  • More than 20 temporary pickleball courts set up inside the National Stadium

  • An expected 2,000 players competing over three days

This tournament will officially become the biggest pickleball competition in the region, underlining Singapore’s growing reputation as a key Asian hub for the sport.

Kallang Alive Sport Management CEO Quek Swee Kuan stated:

“As a destination, Singapore Sports Hub offers quality spaces and programmes for lifestyle, recreational and competitive sporting pursuits. The addition of pickleball, an accessible and inclusive sport, reflects our commitment to be responsive to the needs of players and communities in our midst.”

A New Era for Pickleball in Singapore

The integration of pickleball into the Singapore Sports Hub marks a defining moment for the sport’s growth. From community players to future tournament competitors, Singapore’s pickleball scene is now set for an exciting 2026 — both on and off the court.
