We recently had the pleasure of hosting a pickleball team event with the Swiss Chamber Young Professionals in Singapore at ARK, bringing people together for an evening of sport, fun, and networking.
For some participants, it was their first time holding a pickleball paddle, while others already had some experience on court. After an introduction to the basics, everyone quickly got into the game. With plenty of rallies, rotations, friendly competition, and laughter, it didn't take long for the energy on court to take over.
Why Pickleball Is Perfect for Team Events
One of the things we love most about pickleball is how quickly it connects people. The basic rules are easy to understand, rallies start almost immediately, and you don't need years of experience to enjoy playing.
That makes pickleball particularly well suited for corporate events, networking events, and team-building activities. Instead of simply standing around and talking, participants share an experience together. Rotating partners and opponents naturally creates new interactions and gives people the opportunity to connect with colleagues or other participants they might not normally spend much time with.
At the same time, pickleball still offers enough competition to keep things exciting. Whether you're celebrating a great rally, laughing about a missed shot, or trying to win the next point, the sport creates conversations and shared moments naturally.
More Than Just Pickleball
For us at Pickleball Corner Singapore, events like this are about much more than introducing another group to the sport. We want to use pickleball to bring people together, build communities, and create memorable experiences on and off the court.
